ElonTHON, affectionately known as THON, is Elon’s annual 24-hour Children's Miracle Network dance marathon. In 2003, a group of service-minded students founded THON so that they could make an emotional and financial impact on the patients and families of Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center. The event has since grown into one of the nation's largest dance marathons, and an Elon tradition.
At THON, students can witness amazing live performances, hear dozens of Miracle Families share stories from their hospital journeys, participate in games and contests, and dance the night away. The only rule? No sitting! We stand in solidarity For The Kids who continue to fight.
At ElonTHON 2014, over 1,300 students participated and raised $176,216.94, leaving their mark on Duke Children's Hospital and our beloved university.
